Reduction

In Denmark, we have made great progress in reducing our greenhouse gas emissions. Much of the energy we use today comes from solar and wind power. But we intend to do even better. Our goal is to reduce our greenhouse gas emissions with 70% by 2030, compared to 1990 levels. This is one of the world’s most ambitious goals.

Although Denmark is a small country, we have a strong and respected voice in the global climate debate. One important reason for this is that we have made significant progress in our green transition. Furthermore, our goal of a 70% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions by 2030 is one of the world’s most ambitious targets.

Denmark is a global leader when it comes to integrating wind and solar energy into our electricity grid, and we are one of the world’s most energy-efficient economies. Danish companies have developed a wide range of modern green solutions that are helping to reduce carbon emissions around the world, and Denmark actively engages in partnerships with businesses and other countries to help reducing global emissions.
