Cabbage salad with smoked salmon and grandmother's dressing

2 tablespoons cider vinegar
2 teaspoons sugar
2 tablespoons cream
salt and pepper

160 gr cabbage (the more coarser types of cabbage should be very thinly sliced)
½ -1 teaspoon sugar
2 apples
1 bunch dill
160 gr cold smoked salmon
Wholemeal bread

How it’s done

Dressing - Whisk the vinegar, sugar and cream together until it thickens. Season with salt and pepper and place the dressing in the fridge.

- Halve the cabbage, cut off the tip of the stem and slice the cabbage into thin strips. Slice the stem of the cabbage perfectly fine. Sprinkle the cabbage with salt and sugar.
Cut the apples into quarters and remove the cores. Slice the apples into thin wedges, and toss them together with the cabbage.
Pick the dill in small twigs, and put them in the salad.

Dinnertime - Toss the salmon and the dressing with the salad. Serve with bread.
